If you're a spartan alumni, then you MAY have some wonderful memories of late night visits here. Open late and pizza by the slice is the exact combo you want walking home from an evening out. The pizza toppings or size hasn't changed from years ago when I was a student to now as a tailgating alumni. The pizza still looks the same, the variety of toppings may overwhelm you or get you excited depending on your level of sensory overload. They may have a pizza on display that is just pepperoni, one out of maybe twenty pizzas. The ones that allure and seduce you are the chicken parmesan, black been and rice, gyro, taco, nacho, spinach pie, and potato and bacon. The flavors are good for any of the pieces and the size of any of them are filling, the problem with their concept is that all the pizzas are pre made, then reheated in the pizza oven. It ends up drying out some pieces, depending upon what you order. Order carefully, allow your eyes to enjoy themselves, and enjoy the slice.

Possibly the best 'za in mid-michigan. Great anytime of day. Lunch, drunk food, whatever floats your boat. It's great to mix and match slices. My favorite is the Gyro pizza, which is an odd combination, but very delicious!

Even though I haven't done it in awhile, it was always fun to go here for pizza after the bars shut down. Yum -- best cure for potential hangover, indeed, as this stuff will soak up all the extra alcohol in your tummy. Take two Advil and eat at Georgio's -- simplest hangover cure ever (ahem, not that I ever drank while in college, of course). Has anything changed? It appears not ... Yay, Georgio's!

Solid, cheap pizza. Probably the best $3/slice pizza I've had in a long time. The black bean and feta slice is fantastic. Great crust, too - holds up without being too thin, chewy without being too heavy.

My favorite Pizza within 100 miles for over 14 years! Either at 2pm or 2am the food is high quality and the prices are fair. If it's not busy they'll even give you an extra topping if you ask nicely (gotta get mushrooms on the Chicken/bacon pizza!).

Very unique pizza!! I loved it. They have nacho style pizzas all the way down to regular cheese. Lots of veggie options too!

Oh man. This place is it. The one slice pizza shop. You can order a whole pizza, but there's really no need to bother. They have such a wide selection of slices in the glass case. All are made with fresh chopped fixings. Favorite pizza slices were: Baked potato Black Bean Spinach pie mushroom the list goes on. Slices are from 1.75 - 4.00 I believe, but trust that when you spend upwards to 4.00, they are usually loaded with goodness, so you won't leave hungry. I never liked the plain cheese though. Just doesn't taste right. Make sure to say hi to the beautiful co-owner Voula. She's a good woman.

You know, I hate to break up the party. The topping varieties are awesome, the pizza slices are generous and cheap enough. You can combo it up and get a few different kinds. That' great. Not so great is the food itself though. I've had much better pizza in town, though not by the slice. The problem with these by the slice joints is the pizza sits around all damn day and gets stale. I'd say there's a 75% chance any given slice you buy will be stale. The only great by-the-slice place I've ever eaten at was NYPD in Ann Arbor, and maybe that was only because I chanced out on getting a fresh slice.

I have been going to Georgio's since the day it opened and I still love it! You will not find a more interesting mix of pizza by the slice. My favorites: Black Bean Pizza (amazing), Baked Potato Pizza. When you choose what you want they put it in the oven and heat it up. The only thing to be weary of is going in when it is slow, you might get some old pizza. I can overlook that since it has rarely happened to me. Well worth the risk anyways! Extra stars for how good this pizza tastes after the bar...

My favorite pizza anywhere. Black bean and feta is on the short list for my death-row meal. They have got the crust down stone cold here. Just the right balance of crackle, chewiness...just the right thickness. The only pizza I crave. I read the other reviews. Don't worry. You're allowed to eat here without going to the bar first.

I believe that this is the only pizza by the slice restaurant in East Lansing. If you go try the spinach pie.

GROUPON-ER's BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased a Groupon for georgio's. When I ordered my pizza for the grand river location I made it clear that I would be paying with a groupon and asked if that location was accepting them. The gentleman on the phone said"yes we take the groupon here". When I came in to pick up the pizza I was shocked when I went to go pay and the gentleman working told me he was not going to accept the Groupon(I had just purchased it so no it had not expired). He told me that the other location on Charles St. would take it but he was not going to do anything with it. So I said "fine I will just go to the Charles st. location and order there" he then DEMANDED I take my debit card out and pay for the pizza he already made at full price and told me I was not going to go to the other location. needless to say I paid for the pizza at full price(Pi**ed) and left. I am returning my goupons and wont be doing business here. The pizza itself was ok, nothing special, and not a ton of flavor to it.

I think people confuse a crazy-ass selection for quality. It's really not that good. And if you are actually ordering a whole pizza pie, it takes forever. It's food, but not necessarily good food. Lame drink selection.

Oh magical combinations of pizza that have made me happy when sober and elated when drunk...thank you for existing! I recommend the baked potato pizza...my mouth is watering thinking of it! I also like the bbq chicken and the macaroni pizza is fun once in awhile. Also, thank you, Gerogios, for having a cooler of Gatorade at the check-out; it has been very helpful ;)

  • Jennifer S.

Went back several times and I like the pizzas by the slice. (When I wrote my last review I had only had delivery.) They bake them when you order so they're crisp, and they have some fun combos. I like the potato and bacon as well as the pepperoni and mushroom. Just wanted to update my review based on that.

I've been eating Georgio's pizza since the mid 90s, and there's a reason I keep coming back. I love the crisp chewiness of the crust and the unconventional toppings. Back in high school, the black bean was my favorite, but I now favor the spinach pie. Georgio's strength is pizza by the slice. If you want a whole pizza, go somewhere else, but if you want a slice or two of delicious, creative pizza, stop in at Gerogio's.

  • Christine T.

The salad pizza rocks! Fresh spinach, Kalamata olives, artichoke hearts, red onions and feta cheese, yum! All served slightly warmed on a pizza slice. Name your pizza topping, they have it here! My only suggestion is that I wish that they would change the recipe for the crust as it has a bit too much salt for my taste.

  • Zach W.

I've been here one time only. Two of us each had a single slice of pie; a pesto-tomato (no sauce) and a mushroom-pineapple. We both agreed that for thin crust pizza, this is some of the best we've had. Will definitely go there again.

  • Chris M.

I absolutely LOVE Georgio's pizza! A favorite anytime of the day, even up until 3am! Tasos (owner) has a great quality product here, and the choices and variety are phenomenal! My all time favorite is the gyro (lamb w/ taziki sauce + tomato + red onions) - this has never been duplicated and is one of a kind. I also love the potato + bacon + cheese (don't forget the sour cream!), the nacho, the taco, and let's not forget about the black bean - - which is pretty healthy as well (since it's light on the cheese and full of black beans). The spinach pie is awesome too - - very filling! The crust isn't anything special, but it's thin and always cripsy. I think he comes up w/ some of the most cre8ive ways to make pizzas and I always enjoy seeing what's new and available. This place is always packed during the bar nights, and when school starts you can bet the lines will be out the door! So if you're ever in East Lansing, you MUST stop by Georgio's Pizza - - I promise you that you will become a loyal customer as I've been for several years.

Georgio's Pizza is AMAZING. They have an agglomeration of different choices and I could eat it for every damn meal if I could. I shall return. And then once I leave, I shall vie to return once again in the near future. And with this process I will lunch, dinner, rinse, and repeat.

Ok....I wish I could review Giorgios in two mind states...but I guess I will have to combine... After Bar Review: Oh Giorgios...you are so delicious....your greasy goodness makes me sing with joy. Baked potato....YUM! Even just the regular pepperoni is super tasty! Plus! You are super fast and a great place to make small talk with other drunkards. Not drunk review: Ummm...well...don't shoot me Spartans....you are ok. The pizza seems like it has been sitting out for a long time...and honestly...I would just call it average compared to various other slice places that I have tried. Comparing Giorgios to pizza in NYC?? thats just a bit extreme! So...joint review....3 stars...sorry!!!! don't kill me!!!

We are from out of town and wanted something delievered to the hotel room. Since it was a group of people, we ordered online to avoid asking additional questions to each other while on the phone. We got a veggie delux pizza and a mac and cheese pizza. After ordering online, it said the pizza would take approximately 45 minuets. After an hour, we called and they said they were on their way but that the online estimates were wrong. When the pizza finally got here, the veggie pizza was still warm but the mac and cheese pizza was completely cold. Additionally, the extra cheese on the top of the mac and cheese pizza wasn't even melted. After heating the pizza up in the hotel microwave in the lobby, it still wasn't good. To sum up, delivery time took forever and the pizza wasn't hot or tasty when it finally did arrive.

They have such random types of pizza - seemingly ever-revolving - that part of the fun of going to eat here is seeing what's new (nacho pizza? cheeseburger pizza? barbecue chicken pizza?) & making a decision. It's like $3-4 for a slice which is "meh", but the slices are about as long as my forearm so it's definitely worth it. The only bad part is that they don't seem to be high-traffic at the times I've gone, so the pizza has generally been sitting out under the lamps for awhile & has seen better days by the time I get at it. But it's still pretty good all the same.

Is it 2 in the morning? Am I coming down from my night of wine drinking and dancing...? Is my belly rumbling for some top of the line pizza? yes. yes. and yes. This is my all time favorite after the bar stop. They have a variety of pizzas to chose from and while you are waiting in a long line of drunkards, you can find yourself very amused! go green!

Despite what my boyfriend says, this is THEE best Georgio's. It's impossible for me to pick out what kind is my favorite. They are ALL good. Hawaiian, Tomato Pesto, Nacho, Lasagna, Salad pizza are all so perfect, and the Gyro pizza is so good, even though I don't like onions, I'd still rather order it and spend the time picking them off. Completely worth it. All really unique, all really delicious.

Wow - used to love it when I was back in School. Absolutely the best black bean and cheese pizza, and also the potato and chives pizza were to die for. Add a little sour cream...boy..am just tempted to come back to EL just for their Pizza. Can't go wrong with Georgio's..and not sure if they are still open later but at least they used to be open till 3 back in 2004.

Nice change from Jets and Hungry Howies. The crust is thinner than what I usually get, but on the other hand, I didn't feel like I would explode after one slice! We had a regular three item pizza (pepperoni, black olives, green pepper) and the Greek pizza (tons of spinach, feta, tomatoes, black olives or Greek olives (?)). Both were very good. There is a huge selection of pizza by the slice. It looked interesting and I think I'll order that way next time. Prices are about in line with other pizza places.

  • Dave R.

Best pizza in Lansing area? The Charles location is always better than the one on Grand River. More customers = more turnover = hotter pies. Could be the water too. I always get a slice of the gyro and another of the tortellini. Crust is usually crispy, and they're happy to leave it in the oven for a little while longer if requested. (Don't overheat the gyro, though, as the sour-cream topping dries out.) I know both Michigan college towns well, including their respective pizza scenes. Georgio's beats Ann Arbor's NYPD for by-the-slice, hands down, and I'm a Wolverine.

    (3)
  • Andre S.

Georgio's- get in my belly! Even though, I got a big flash back of drunken nights after the bars in college, your Potato pie and Nacho pies are slices of heaven! Can I fold you up and put you in my suit case when I go back to Atlanta?

    (4)
  • Glen R.

Chicken and bacon is the best. I used to eat there even when I was sober in college.

  • Ed T.

There aren't many places that will cause me to voluntarily enter the chaos that is the MSU campus, but Georgio's is one of them. If you've been to any other New York-style by-the-slice pizza joint, you've been to Georgio's. Great slices and a friendly staff. (If only they'd put one in Downtown Lansing!)

    (5)
  • Mike B.

I've had pizza in the Lou. I've had pizza in San Fran and LA, and I've even had pizza at Lombardi's in Little Italy NY, known specifically for it's pizza. But every time I think of the best of the best, I think of Georgio's. I was only in town for one weekend, and I think we ate there probably 2 or 3 times. I was astounded at how good the selection was and how tasty the exotic creations were. I wish I could transplant that place to just about everywhere else I've ever been, just to show this country what good pizza is all about. All you Michigan State kiddies better thank your lucky stars you have a dynamite pizza place nearby, it's truly sensational. Hope to be back soon!

  • Jimmy M.

The food might taste good if you're piss ass drunk but for the rest of us it's actually mediocre at best. It probably would taste better if it hadn't been let out for a long time. A plus is that they do put your slice back in the oven right when you buy it. It still is mediocre food but I always thought that was kind of cool. The slices are fairly cheap but if you plan on using a Visa they make you pay a 6$ min as I remember. If you want the best pizza in Lansing/East Lansing you really need to check out Delucas.

    (1)
  • Kelly R.

I no longer live in East Lansing, but whenever I'm in the area I go out of my way to swing by Georgio's for a slice of potato pizza WITH bacon. One piece is massive and will certainly fill you up if you're a girl. It's also DEElicious! Make sure you have them drizzle the sour cream on top... it's seriously a magical experience.

    (5)
  • Iris S.

MMMMMM! Spinach pie. I'm drowning in drool-filled haze. Alright, I confess. You must be stumbling drunk to fully appreciate its flavor. And, hey, everyone else in the monster line is, too.

one of my all time favorites for many many years, GREAT pizza, one slice- they are large slices- is perfect for lunch. the fresh mozzarella is always my first choice with Maria's white a close second. Voula is a sweetheart!

  • Devin P.

This is very good pizza - a little grease, a wide range of toppings, and the classic pizza smell that you look for when you walk in the door. I usually opt for the classics like pepperoni, mushroom, and onion -- but they have Gyro meat and a lot of other options for toppings too. Pizza by the slice also makes it really convenient if you're in a pinch -- the staff is always friendly. And for you gluten free folks, they can do that too in a personal size pizza - around 10 inches.

    (4)
  • Jimmy P.

Living in cedar village I eat georgios 2-4 times a week and can say it's the best meal in a slice of pizza within 100 miles. Best slices are pesto spicy chicken, fajita (Friday only), taco, supreme, and Mac and cheese of you're slightly incoherent.

    (4)
  • Dave V.

Hell yeah! I'm all about my Chicago style pizza but the stuffed spinach slices are fucking amazing. My girlfriend absolutely loves the macaroni and cheese kind and their gyro slices are pretty good too, not sure if i like Bell's better though. I'm more of a fan of a soggier or softer crust rather than crispy or crunchy which theirs seems to be on most pizzas. Whatever, ill gladly grab a stuffed slice if im in the area again.

  • Tracy M.

Pizza by the Slice! I only eat one thing when I go here -- Baked Potato Pizza topped with sour cream. It has been served to me by the same people year, after year. I love walking in there after a year has past to see that woman's smiling face! I crave this pizza, and will stop for Georgio's whenever we drive on I-69 past East Lansing. I'm sure the newer location serves fine pizza, but I always go downtown to the Original Georgio's. However, I have just discovered that GR has a Georgio's Location! WOW! I can't wait to go...

    (4)
  • Jeanne L.

Pizza in East Lansing is generally pretty poor, and Georgio's doesn't exceed my already low expectations. We came to Georgio's because of its high ratings on Yelp but were disappointed by its mediocre quality. During the first time we came, we noticed gnat's flying in the display case. The second time, we brought the pizza home & found that the bottom was soggy. Maybe the problem is that I'm not a fan of deep dish pizza. Georgio's doesn't make deep dish, but it's pretty think compared to NY-style pizza. The pizza almost seems half-cooked in the center. We're still searching for a good pizza joint.

  • Dan M.

Wow, this Lansing MUST just blew our doors off. First the place was clean and well kept. The floors swept the tables polished and the "condiment" station was stocked. Service was helpful and very personable. It was obvious that most customers are regulars and were greeted by name. After tasting the final product I understand why. Finally the pizza. My wife is a big fan of the hand tossed with light sauce and fresh toppings (in her case one topping, pineapple). I enjoy a good meat lovers or anything nontraditional. We both can leave here happy, their menu is loaded with fresh original options. Black bean, stuffed spinach, and loaded potato pizzas to name a few. The pizza was not greasy and had an amazing crust. We will be going back soon!

  • Sydney A.

Yum! This place is so good and it makes me so happy they deliver. They have so many different options for pizzas too

    (4)
  • Zachary K.

The service is friendly, the selection is surprising and by the slice, and most importantly it's good pizza. This guy is not just some run of the mill pizza place, glad I went here and not the Little Caesar's down the street.

  • Christy F.

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am off the chain excited. I just learned that you can buy Georgios online and ship it anywhere in the US!!!! BUT 2 potato bacon and 2 gyro pizzas run $105.89... BUT guess what?! I don't care and I am all over this.

    (5)
  • Larissa T.

I absolutely love the pizza here and the prices are very reasonable. The slices are huge! I love the bacon pizza but also like that they have several vegetarian options as well. The little salads are always a nice addition to the pizza and I believe they make their own dressing. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is the service. It's always hit or miss. Sometimes I'll go in when the owner/manager is there and the service is spot on. Sometimes I'll go in there and I feel like the employees are actually annoyed that they have to put my pizza in the oven and run the cash register. And it's not like I go in 5 minutes before they close. But otherwise, awesome pizza!

  • Nick M.

Pretty stellar, cheap pizza. A good variety too. It will fill your drunken ass up!

Definitely the best gourmet pizza place in East Lansing! Different and refreshing yet classic with ingredients. Many more possibilities with Georgio's. Returning customer.

  • Betsy A.

So-so pizza... overall, there's a lack of good pizza in Lansing. I have yet to find a decent place. Dined in at 8pm on a Friday night and the place was absolutely empty. I think this mostly caters to drunk undergrads after bars close?

    (2)
  • Ruben L.

Late nite pizza at it's finest. Sure they're open during the day, but this place gets packed right around 2am (when the bars close). If you want to beat the crowd, dine during the day, or at least a half an hour before the bars close down. Huge slices of pizza with an interesting mix of toppings (black bean, mexican, chicken and pesto, potato skin pizza?!!?) the real star of this place (at least when they have it) is their meat pie. If it wasn't so unhealthy (or if I still lived in the same area) I would be eating that every day. With the exception of Bells, you shouldn't be getting pizza by the slice from anywhere but this place.
